THE COMPANY

Jean Mandois was born in Epernay in 1760 and he was the first winemaker of the family: in 1905 Auguste Mandois moved to Pierry, a village with Premier Cru classification, and started producing his own champagne. The Maison is now in the hands of Claude Mandois, who runs the 40 hectares of property, of which 13 Premier Cru and with mostly Chardonnay grapes. Mandois produces over 500,000 bottles per years, following the spirit of its patron, it has been aiming at quality, both with grape selection, but above all with permanence on yeast for at least 30 months also for the brut sans-année. Each cuvée, processed according to the “champenoise” tradition reflects the Mandois style of champagne “de garde”. A pair of wisdom is represented by the Brut Zero, a champagne “pas dosé” for true lovers of the nature bubbles where the assemblage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is very balanced. A Maison that, while respecting the tradition, is always in line with the times with fine wines and little dosed, true expression of Champagne terroir.
