Berry Bros & Rudd

THE COMPANY

The London-based Berry Bros is England’s oldest house of spirits and wine merchants and has been headquartered in the same place for no less than 310 years. Founded in 1698, a purveyor to the English crown, in addition to owning the legendary Glenrothes distillery near Aberlour in northeastern Scotland, it selects the best casks from around the United Kingdom in search of signature malts. Now chaired by Elisabeth Rudd recently succeeded by Simon Berry, representing the seventh generation, Berry Bros is a modern, globalized company with a presence in Asia as well as on the old continent. Nevertheless, thanks to men of the caliber of Douglas McIvor, who heads the Whisky department, the selection of Whisky and Rum is among the best in the World and the Blue Hanger, blended malt whisky, true icon and standard-bearer of Berry Bros, confirms this name. From Single Cask to Full Proof, the offerings on both malts and rums are broad and well balanced to meet all market demands.
